Propagating It from seed is a bad idea Because it may take up to 8 years to produce fruit and even after that there’s no guarantee that if it will ever produce a fruit or not and of which variety. The smart idea is to buy a grafted plant. You should purchase dwarf variety that does well in the pot.

 

For grow mango plant in pot, you should follow these steps.

1. Buy a grafted plant. You should purchase dwarf variety that does well in the pot.

2. You Take an 18” or 20” Pot. Pot can be plastic cement or clay but one thing you should remember that for a healthy plant, you should drill a small hole at the bottom of the pot so extra water can drain out easily.

3. Now make a mixture of clay and fertilizer properly (clay 60% sand 20% fertilizer 20%) Fertilizer Contain Cow dung, + Neem Khalil + Goat Dung)& Fill 80% of pot by this mixture and sprinkle some water in a pot leave this pot some time When Clay become some hard then you dug a pit of size 9” to 1 ft. into the mixture.

Leave the pit open for 6 to 7 days after which you plant your mango tree (dwarf variety which you bought in step 1)

4. For better growth you should water regularly

5. The plant needs to be kept in a warm for at least 6- 7 hours of sun daily.

6. When the first year’s flowers grow snip them off. This will makes growth of your mango tree faster which ultimately make ripening fruits faster.

7. Common pests that attack a mango plant are hoppers scale and spiders they reduce the vigour of tree which reduce less fruits this must be controlled as early as possible by using organic pesticides.
